  I work at DBF and have been since July of 2017. I also volunteered years back as well. Carla does not mistreat the horses. She loves her horses and takes care of them. Yes, Carla does have employees!! Big shocker when you have over 60 horses to feed and water and give hay to before 9 am. The first round of riders shows up at 11. Horses don’t just come out of their pasture wearing a saddle. And trust me. You think keeping horses in stalls forever is a great solution? How much do you even know about horses? Oh right nothing. Keeping them cooped up in a small stall is sad and they should have pastures for them to roam around in. As someone who takes care of the horses on the farm. All of the reviews about how poorly they are treated you are so wrong. You are here for what and hour? You miss the care and time it takes working with a horse. Horses are animals! You shouldn’t take them for granted. You signed up to ride, you know there is potential risks involved! Anyways. I have nothing but love and respect for Carla. So proud to work here.
